Folk Music and Singing

In Winter of 2025 we launched new project introducing children and young people to the rich traditions of Georgian folk music and polyphonic singing. The singing and instrumental ensemble KOLKHI has crafted striking, original productions with Georgian vocal polyphony and traditional instruments. The group is currently expanding the repertoire, nurturing the next generation of performers and listeners.

Folk Dance

Georgian traditional dance is a powerful way to celebrate our heritage, bring people together, and build meaningful connections across generations and cultures. Our dancers proudly share the beauty, energy, and rich traditions of Georgian dance at Canadian multicultural festivals, community celebrations, cultural events, and special gatherings.

In 2023, we launched Project “Qartveli,” a Georgian traditional dance program designed to engage children and youth in discovering, learning, and celebrating their Georgian cultural heritage. The project quickly gained tremendous interest and support from families and the wider community, creating a welcoming space where young people can build friendships, develop confidence, and connect with their cultural roots.

Today, the Qartveli Ensemble continues to grow as a vibrant part of our community. Our young dancers actively participate in cultural festivals, community events, and celebrations, proudly representing Georgian culture while sharing it with audiences from diverse backgrounds.

Newcomer Assistance Center

Our Newcomer assistance program: One-to-one support for families in their first year in Canada: documents, schools, housing, health cards, job search and language courses.

Cultural evenings & Concert Series

Our Cultural Events and Concert Series brings people together to celebrate Georgian heritage, creativity, traditions, and community. Throughout the year, we organize a diverse range of cultural experiences, including Georgian Independence Day celebrations, International Children’s Day, Discover Georgia Day, Georgian wine and cuisine evenings, art and cultural exhibitions, concerts, and special community gatherings.

These events create welcoming spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together, discover Georgian culture, share traditions, and build meaningful relationships. They also provide opportunities for Georgian newcomers, families, youth, and long-standing community members to connect with one another and feel part of a supportive and vibrant community.

Our programs are designed not only to preserve and showcase Georgian culture, but also to build bridges between communities and promote understanding, friendship, and cultural exchange within Canada's multicultural society.
